National News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, on Saturday, marking his first trip after the success of ‘Operation Sindoor,’ which the government has hailed as a significant strike against terrorism. Prime Minister Modi launched and laid the groundwork for 52 development initiatives worth ₹2,183.45 crore during his visit. He also transferred ₹21,000 crore to the accounts of farmers as the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.

Operation Sindoor reflects the bravery of our soldiers

Addressing a massive gathering in Banauli village of Sevapuri, PM Modi praised the armed forces, saying, “Operation Sindoor reflects the indomitable courage of our brave soldiers. Today is equally a day to bow to our farmers.” Today is also a day to salute our farmers. The 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has been credited into the accounts of 10 crore farmers across the nation. When money flows out of Kashi, it becomes nothing short of prasad.”

I kept my vow to avenge my daughters’ sindoor

The PM recalled the Pahalgam terror attack of April 22, in which 26 innocent lives were lost, saying the tragedy had left him deeply pained.

“I sought Baba Vishwanath’s blessings to give strength to the grieving families. I had vowed to avenge the sindoor of my daughters—and with Mahadev’s blessings, that promise has now been fulfilled,” Modi declared.

Sharp criticism of Congress—Upset over terrorists being eliminated

PM Modi launched a strong attack on the opposition, especially Congress: “It’s unfortunate that the success of Operation Sindoor has left some people in this country uneasy. Congress has gone so far as to call it a ‘tamasha.’ The truth is they are weeping for the terrorists. Tell me—can Sindoor ever be called a tamasha? Should we ask for permission before killing terrorists?”

He added, “This new India worships Lord Bholenath but turns into Kalbhairav when confronting its enemies.”

Push for BrahMos missile production & ‘self‑reliant India’

In a major announcement, Modi revealed that the BrahMos missile will now be produced in Lucknow: “The sins of Pakistan will now be erased by a missile made in Uttar Pradesh. India will only buy what is built with the hard work of Indians,” he said, underlining the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (self‑reliant India) vision.

Kashi chose an MP who doesn’t take commission

Rejecting the opposition’s allegations on farmer welfare schemes, PM Modi reminded the crowd, “When PM Kisan Samman Nidhi began in 2019, Congress and SP claimed it was just an election gimmick. But not a single installment has been delayed. ₹90,000 crore has been sent to Uttar Pradesh, ₹900 crore to Kashi’s farmers, and ₹3.75 lakh crore nationwide.”

He proudly added, “Kashi has chosen an MP who ensured that this money reached farmers without any commission or corruption.”

Spotlight on farmer support and development

The Prime Minister highlighted several key initiatives:

  • Launch of a ₹21,000 crore ‘Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Yojana.’
  • ₹1.75 lakh crore has already been disbursed under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
  • Record hikes in Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for crops.

“Our development mantra is simple—the more backward someone is, the greater the support they will receive,” Modi emphasized.

“Kashi’s development will keep flowing like the Ganga”

Concluding his speech, PM Modi said, “With Baba Vishwanath’s blessings, Kashi’s development flows endlessly, just like the sacred Ganga. Earlier governments only made promises in the name of farmers—but we deliver on what we announce.”
